  • CVE-2026-114625 (Arista VeloCloud Orchestrator, CVSS 9.9): SQL injection granting access to privileged functions — third zero-day in four months for this product. Added to CISA KEV October 24, 2026. FCEB agencies must patch by November 14, 2026.

  • CVE-2026-109618 & CVE-2026-109619 (PHP 'PHP2Shell,' CVSS 9.2 each): Unauthenticated RCE via out-of-memory corruption and stale global state. Active exploitation observed in the wild since October 21. Affects PHP 8.2.x < 8.2.35, 8.3.x < 8.3.36, 8.4.x < 8.4.27, 8.5.x < 8.5.12. No patch for PHP 7.x/8.0/8.1. Apache mod_php carries highest risk. Palo Alto Unit 42 retracted earlier European government exploitation claim.

  • CVE-2026-111497 (Google Brotli decoder): Memory-corruption enabling RCE, affecting Bun, .NET, Python Brotli, and Envoy. Code execution demonstrated on unpatched Node.js. Cloudflare deployed emergency WAF rules October 25.

  • Microsoft Emergency .NET Out-of-Band Patches (October 26): Four vulnerabilities patched including Brotli buffer overflow and incomplete fixes from October's regular Patch Tuesday.

BR3ACHES

  • PwC — Everest Ransomware Claim (Unconfirmed): Everest ransomware group claims 590 GB of data stolen (108,426 files) including HR records, SSO source code, internal audit methods, and employee information from Australia, China, Canada, and the UK (~213,084 HR records alleged). Alleged October 28 publication deadline. PwC has not confirmed the breach.

  • ConnectWise Cloud Backup (October 13–17): Attackers compromised ConnectWise application identities and used stolen Entra ID tokens to access ~300 of ~1,000 targeted M365 tenants without password theft. ConnectWise suspended Cloud Backup, SaaS Security, and Cloud Management on October 17. 16 additional tenants in policy/national security/critical minerals sectors targeted in a second wave (unsuccessful). Previously issued tokens remain valid until expiry.

  • Capcom: 11.77-million-address data breach reported, with 196 password resets tied to the incident.

CLOUD & SAAS SECURITY

  • Microsoft 365 Token-Replay Campaign (October 26): Adversary-in-the-middle relay captured and replayed stolen sign-in session tokens — compromising 97 accounts across 79 organizations and registering 48 rogue Entra ID devices without password guessing. Huntress observed attacker also attempting to add apps to Global Administrator role. (Source: Huntress/The Hacker News)

  • ConnectWise Supply-Chain Attack: Compromised application identities enabled token-based M365 access across hundreds of tenants. Disabling identities does NOT revoke previously issued tokens — teams must independently audit and expire all affected tokens. Huntress confirmed Teams app abuse in at least one tenant.

  • LiteLLM Supply-Chain Compromise (October 24): API master key committed to public GitHub in May 2026 used in October to extract a GitHub OAuth token and push malicious LiteLLM package to PyPI and Docker Hub. Google tracked 2,076 CVEs in the AI/ML stack in 2026; LiteLLM's MCP test endpoint is being actively exploited.

IDENTITY & AUTHENTICATION

  • Microsoft Authenticator Android/iOS Flaw (CVE-2026-41615, High Severity): Zero-permission Android or iOS app can impersonate trusted Microsoft apps and steal authentication tokens. Millions of users affected. App store rankings dropped following disclosure. (Source: TechRepublic, GBHackers)

  • M365 Token-Replay Campaign: 48 rogue Entra devices registered across affected tenants; stolen session tokens replayed at scale without passwords. Teams, SharePoint, and mailbox data at risk. Organizations must review suspicious service principals in Entra ID.

  • LiteLLM Master Key Leak: Unrevoked API key in public GitHub enabled OAuth token theft and malicious package publishing — illustrating critical risk of long-lived, unrotated credentials.

MOBILE SECURITY

  • Android October 2026 Security Bulletin: Google patched Critical Bluetooth EoP flaws (CVE-2026-55269, CVE-2026-55280, CVE-2026-58835, CVE-2026-58880) and Framework DoS (CVE-2026-58865) on Android 14–17. ICS/OT/IoT SECURITY

  • Iranian APT Targets Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell PLCs (Updated Advisory): Attackers connect to internet-exposed PLCs via Studio 5000 Logix Designer, EcoStruxure Control Expert, and TIA Portal on ports 44818/2222/102/502/22. In one U.S. case: malicious project file downloaded to PLC disabled safety shutdown and alarm logic. Rockwell CompactLogix/Micro850, Schneider Modicon M340, Siemens S7-1200 confirmed affected. Sectors: government, energy, water/wastewater. (Source: SecurityWeek)

  • Handala Claims UK Power Plant Attack: Iran-linked hacktivist group Handala claimed a disruptive cyberattack against a UK power plant. Handala also filed claims against California water utility Cal Water — utility found no evidence of OT system impact.
